 PROTOTYPE HISTORY

The most infamous maritime catastrophe in history occurred on a quiet, moonless night on April 15, 1912, 600 kilometers from Newfoundland. 1,517 passengers and crew members perished when the most inventive ship ever built by a human engineering genius collided with an iceberg and sank. The "Olympic" class ship with the monicker "Titanic" came to represent the dominance of the natural forces over the faculties of the human mind. Despite the horrible accident that led to the catastrophe, the Titanic is deserving of praise as the finest work of early 20th-century shipbuilders.

It was the largest passenger steamboat when it was introduced. Its breadth was 28 meters, while its length was 269 meters, or roughly three football fields. 56 meters, or about the height of a contemporary 20-story skyscraper, separate the keel from the top of the mast. There were 52310 tons in the boat. This amounts to around 300 Boeing 747s.

The most cutting-edge technology was used on the Titanic. The combined output of two steam engines and a turbine was 55,000 l/s. The ship was propelled at a speed of 42 km/h by a pair of three-bladed side propellers and a four-bladed centre propeller. The entire ship was electrically charged. Electrical bulkheads were installed between the hold's compartments, and they were designed to close when water was detected. The captain and duty officer were able to keep an eye on all of the ship's systems thanks to advanced communications technology.

 FEATURES, BENEFITS

One of the largest scale Moyu models is the one from Lost at Sea. This is supported by the fact that the super-steamers' super-size served as its prototype. As a result, this model has many more parts and components than the more straightforward premade variants. This ensures an interesting exploration of shipbuilding theory and practice during the steam engine era.

In place of a steam engine, the model's electric motor and gear system propels the ship's propellers.

Backing the display platform is the ship's hull. On the sides, curvy incisions are produced that resemble waves. You can see how the mechanisms work thanks to the cutouts in the sides.

 NOTICE

The prefabricated Lost at Sea model is made for a broad variety of users aged 14 years and above.

The model research and assembly advance the technical creativity skills inspire science and technology history research.
